Denver Broncos

Honestly, I am getting really sick and tired of people TRYING to compare Denver Broncos current quarterback Jake Plummer, to Denver's Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, because there is no comparison. The only things that may be comparable about the two is their mobility, and flare for comebacks. With games that have been decided by 3 points or fewer, Jake Plummer is currently 3rd with 27 wins behind Dan Marino with 33, and you got John Elway with 30.
Now with the comparisons out the way, lets get into what really matters. SInce Jake Plummer has come to the Denver Broncos, in my opinion he has delivered. They have been to the playoffs every year that he has been on the team, and were one game away from the Super Bowl, last season. Yes he has a high TD/INT ratio, but Denver knew that before signing him, actually before coming to Denver in 2003 he threw 90 touchdowns, and threw 104 interceptions. But Denver saw potential, and thought that if they could eliminate the mistakes that he made, that they might have a good quarterback on their hands, and believe me, no one questions Jake Plummer's ablilty, they just question his decision making.
On a team like Denver, they don't rely on their quarterback as much as other teams, everyone knows that Denver is a running team. They have had arguably the best running offense in the NFL for the past couple of years. This is a system that churns out different 1,000 yard backs almost every year, from Terrell Davis, to Olandis Gary, to Clinton Portis, Mike Anderson, and this year doesn't seem to be any different, because Tatum Bell seems to be well on his way to 1,000+ yards this season.
And to go along with that great rushing offense, the Broncos have a very good defense. The linebacking corps of Ian Gold, Al Wilson and D.J. Williams is considered one of the league's best. The defensive line, stolen from the Cleveland Browns, have been making a huge impact, the only question mark that Denver may have in their defense is their secondary, but they still do have maybe one the best if not the best cornerback in the NFL in Champ Bailey.
