Ever since the BCS has been introduced to College Football to determine the National Championship, no one has been happy with the out come. There have been Co-National Champions many times, beacuse the two undefeateds did not play each other in the National Title game that year, beacuse the BCS did not give the teams the correct ammount of points.

First before we start destroying the BCS like everyone else has here is how it works.

The BCS *Bowl Championship Series* takes a total of 12 different polls and then averages them together. The following is the list of polls that it takes in to account.

1. Coach's Poll
2. AP Poll
3. Schedule Strength
4. 9 Computer Polls

Last Monday the first rankings of the year were released in the BCS and the top 5 in the BCS are as followed,

1. Ohio State (7-0)
2. USC (6-0)
3. Michigan (7-0)
4. Auburn (6-1)
5. West Virginia (6-0)

If you look at the AP Poll, it is close to the same that the BCS is,

1. Ohio State (63) 7-0 1,623
2. Michigan 7-0 1,528
3. USC 6-0 1,465
4. West Virginia (2) 6-0 1,459
5. Texas 6-1 1,355

The fact that Auburn is ranked 4th in the BCS and 8th in the AP makes no sense. Remember that the BCS is ranked by a series of computers, not people! The BCS will be facing a problem on November 18th, Michigan will play THE Ohio State University. Both teams right now are 7-0 and will not be playing anyone that will cause any problems *that was said untill Auburn playd Arkansas*.

This year college football will most likley have a USC vs. Michigan or USC vs. Ohio State but we have seen the BCS make mistakes before. The wild card this year will either be the loser of the Michigan/Ohio State and Auburn.

Since the fact that Auburn is ranked 4th in the BCS right now will totaly effect things when the major bowl games are figured out.

The NCAA needs to figure out how to set up a play off game or a game after the last bowl game of the season. Once they figure out something other then the BCS, we are screwed.
