Sloppy & Unimpressive: Zahir Raheem vs. Cristobal Cruz

Tulsa Oklahoma, hometown of Lightweight Zahir Raheem played host to the Z-Man's bout against Mexico's Cristobal Cruz in what turned out to be a 10 Round hug-fest.
The better skilled Zahir, used quick punches and even quicker feet for the win, but overly tended to clinch Cruz whenever he came in to close for comfort. Leaving Cruz to throw wildly from a distance whenever the two weren't tied together at the shoulder, which arguably was about half the fight. The clinching wasn't overlooked by the crowd either who booed the fighters from about the 6th round on.
I think Zahir's quickness and more precise punches could have made for a shorter and more spectacular fight instead of the full 10 round win by unanimous desicion. I would compare Cristobal Cruz' wild punches to Ricardo Mayorga (minus the power). All in all - unimpressive.
